Did you know that in Poland there are various benefits available for parents? Here’s an overview of all the benefits families can receive 👇
🎁 Dobry Start (300+)
Program „Dobry Start” – 300 PLN for the school start
One-time annual payment for each student.
Amount: 300 PLN (fixed).
Available for parents, legal guardians, and factual guardians.
Family income does not matter.
Applications can be submitted from July 1 to November 30 online only (via ZUS).
💸 800+
Świadczenie wychowawcze – 800+
Amount: 800 PLN monthly for each child under 18.
Available to all families, regardless of income.
Program is also available to foreigners, including Ukrainians living in Poland.
Paid monthly.
👉 Applications submitted through the ZUS platform.
👶 Becikowe
Becikowe – one-time allowance of 1000 PLN
One-time payment at the birth or adoption of a child.
Amount: 1000 PLN per child.
Family income must not exceed 1922 PLN net per person.
Application submitted to the gmina or urząd miasta within 12 months of the child’s birth.
A doctor’s certificate confirming prenatal care from at least the 10th week of pregnancy is required.
🍼 Kosiniakowe
Kosiniakowe – świadczenie rodzicielskie (1000 PLN/month)
Amount: 1000 PLN monthly.
For parents who are not entitled to maternity allowance (zasiłek macierzyński).
Eligible: students, unemployed persons, those working under civil-law contracts (umowa o dzieło).
⏳ Duration of payments:
52 weeks – one child;
65 weeks – twins;
67 weeks – triplets;
up to 71 weeks – more children.
👨👩👧 Aktywny Rodzic (з 2024 року)
Program „Aktywny Rodzic” has three support options:
1️⃣ Aktywni rodzice w pracy
For working parents of children aged 12–35 months who do not attend nursery/kindergarten/childcare club.
1500 PLN/month (or 1900 PLN for children with special needs).
Paid for up to 24 months.
2️⃣ Aktywnie w żłobku
For parents who send their child to nursery, childcare club, or a registered daily guardian.
Up to 1500 PLN/month (or 1900 PLN for children with special needs).
Cannot exceed the actual childcare fee (excluding meals).
Until the child turns 3 years (or 4 years if preschool education is not possible due to health reasons).
3️⃣ Aktywnie w domu
For parents who care for the child at home.
Age: 12–35 months.
500 PLN/month for 24 months.
Application can be submitted by mother, father, or legal guardian.
